Three-Point Lighting Project

     In this post we will discuss, three-point lighting. Three-point lighting is a technique used in film to ensure the subject on camera is illuminated in the best way. The pictures below will explain and indicate which lights are used in this technique. The model featured is, Justin.

This is what the three-point lighting setup looks like, with the lights off. To the far left is the key light, behind Justin is the back light, to the far right is the fill light, and Emanuel is holding a reflector disk.

This is what the shot looks like with all of the lights turned on, and the camera in position. 

    What I learned from this project that when it comes to filming, there are so many different types of lights used to get the desired shot. Below is a link about three-point lighting, and another link with a video showing how three-point lighting is used.
